STAPLES — Staples-Motley’s Emmet Anderson and Kyanna Burton both scored individual wins while the Cardinal boys and girls posted perfect scores Friday, Sept. 25 at the Vintage at Staples.
Anderson clocked a time of 17:19.86 for the win followed by Issiah Tabbat with 17:52.57 for second place. Also placing in the top ten for the Cardinal boys were Luke Brownell, Tanner Robben, Lyle Brownell, Logan Robben and Grant Johnson.
Burton recorded a 20:27.14 and was followed by Aften Robinson in second with a 20:56.01 run. Also in top spots for the Cardinals were Audrey Brownell in third, Ashley Robben fourth and Naila Mikhaeill in fifth.

EMILY — Pequot Lakes’ Calia Chaney placed first with an 18:51.06 to lead the Patriot girls to first in the Patriots triangular Friday, Sept. 25, at Emily Greens.
Carly Chaney placed third and Rian Zutter fourth for the Patriot girls.
Ethan Johnson gave the Pequot Lakes boys their best time with a 16:59.49 for a third-place finish. The Patriot boys placed second behind West Central.

BERTHA — Amber Collins’ first-place time of 21:40 paced the Wadena-Deer Creek girls team to its third victory of the season Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Bertha-Hewitt Invite.
Johanna Burnsberg placed second in front of teammates Emma Mehl and Emma Ries, who placed fourth and fifth.
Bjorn Brunsberg led the W-DC boys team to third. Brunsberg captured the individual title in 18:06.
